東方永夜抄(Touhou Eiyashou literally translated to Eternal Night Vignette from the East)
Touhou 08 ~Imperishable Night~
'Sup OG, here is an another release for Otaku-gen and an another game of Touhou. Touhou 08 Imperishable Night, made by Team Shanghai Alice who composed with no other than the one guy programming machine, ZUN, is the 8th installment in the Touhou Project shmups series. Touhou is famous for it's beautiful bullet patterns, and intricate and colorful barrages of sweet kunai's, spikes, balls, hearts, butterfly, needles, amulets, Big balls of light, Bigger balls of nuclear abomination, and lasers thats called Danmaku. The level of difficulty for Touhou games compared to other vertical scroller shmups games are extremely high, and Touhou 8 is not an exception.
Though considered as the easiest of all the Touhou games from 6th to newest, Imperishable Night is a unique one in the Touhou series for having 4 groups of 2 characters to choose from, and they can be used individually (totalling to up to 8 characters to choose from) when you cleared the game using every group without continue. It also have a Spell Card practice where you can practice those spell cards your being annoyed to capture. And a Last Word slot where you can find the hardest Spell cards in the game and some hints in how to unlock them. And the Stage 4 boss also differs depending on the characters your using, along with the alternate last stages.
It is widely known that Imperishable Night's story is taken from the Japanese folk tale "The tale of a bamboo cutter" and now commonly known in the title of "Kaguya-hime" (princess Kaguya) (you can search wiki for the story). I don't want to spoil the story to those who haven't played it yet, but the story of this one is very straight forward so you don't need a stupid story teller like me to tell the tale (yeah whatever ^^).The moon is replaced by a fake moon, and the loli girls we loved from gensokyo are up to investigate it. that's all.. haha!
Addictiveness level is very high and the graphics is very good when compared to other shmups games so let's give a round of applause to ZUN.. WOO!!! If you haven't played it yet, now is your chance to try^^

Hey guys
I can patch to 1.00a, but for some reason when i do the same for the 1a > 1d patch, it fails, as in it doesnt run at all.
Any suggestions?

are you using windows 7?
try redownloading the patch and run it on compatibility for windows xp sp2..
if you are not using windows 7, just redownload the patch and put it on the same directory of the game. then run it.
