Is OtakuTei an illegal site?
Well nope... OtakuTei is a site dedicated for sharing news, files, updates, software and applications connected to the otaku fandom. Mostly of the files we are sharing are on Doujin Genre (which means Fan work) and commonly labeled internationally as Freeware due to being unavailable outside of the country they are made from. Made by fans, for fans. Fan works are outside of copyright issues and therefore happily distributed by the authors to outside of their country. And commonly, they enjoy the merit and acknowledgement more than money . Before we post something, we make sure we have the necessary referrals, links, permissions, and that if we are infringing some kind of copyright case. In a case that a certain item (exp.Visual Novels) is licensed outside of Japan (or the country where it came from) we will still make a review of it, but instead of a download link, we will provide a referral link to the publisher to tell the readers where to buy and support the said item. In any case that a preposted item in here got licensed outside Japan, we will remove the link immediately and will post a link for the licensors (or publishers perhaps) for the readers to know where to go to get them. In any case we forgot to do this, feel free to contact us to remove the links as long as you can show viable proof for us. OtakuTei is a site dedicated to share others the wonderful facts, items, and thingies inside our interest. And we would love if you buy the said items if it's available in your area.

Is OtakuTei a "SAFE-FOR-WORK" site?
Yes it is, even though we also post Visual Novels, it wouldn't be presented with nude graphical materials and malicious previews. As for Visual Novels having great storylines, OtakuTei will focus more on reviewing that side. Items with M18+ genre will be stickied with a warning sign to warn others who are not sure what they are about to download. It's Safe for Work, In any case an item can't be presented with a decent picture, we might refer to doing heavy Censoring using Stamp images, or hence, no image at all.

What can I do to help OT?
You can help us buy updating us with the new news bout the otaku industry and also by providing us reviews for some applications we may or may not know. You can also help us by providing mirror links for downloads that can be found in here.. your help is fully appreciated.


Can the readers also share some files if they have one.
Oh yes, as long as they have reviewed it by themselves, got some necessary links (creators website, etc.) and already made sure that the game is not licensed. Then you can share it to us by e-mailing us, or in the near future, you can post it on the forum we are preparing for.

Why do you use MediaFire a lot?
Well it's simple, MediaFire is fast, no waiting time, user friendly, it's easier to organize and you can use downloading tools on it. Well we also host files from other hosting files like Hotfile, MegaUpload and such.. But we are still thinking if we are gonna use RapidShare, due to it's reviews of being unuserfriendly, region blocking, and various other things.
